Activities

Cities embody the elusiveness of the (recent) past and inkling of what the future may hold for their inhabitants. Each action and interaction that has taken place in a city is unique and cannot be replicated elsewhere. Traces are left, effaced, forgotten, or hidden under layers of history. Objects in a city are often quiet witnesses to changes and constancy. Through documenting the mundane, the well-acquainted, and the unusual in often neglected and disregarded objects and occurrences, you will become a better observer of your city. The tasks will enable you to reimagine and reinterpret your present connection with the city, and to locate or re-orient yourself in it across space and time.
