Punctuality

Different cultures have varying attitudes towards punctuality. Chronemics is the study of how time is used in communication across cultures. The phrase “time is money” implies that punctuality is important, as time is something that should not be wasted. However, not all cultures share this sentiment—some are far more laid back than others, practising more fluidity in the way they define punctuality. Does the attitude towards punctuality affect how cities are built and experienced?

Writing Prompt 3
